Print Project

I thought that this project was more complicated then I thought it would be. It was hard to figure out what parts would be with the ink or without the ink. What I did first was draw my pictures in the small rectangle. I thought that this was the hardest pert because I had to make up everything from the beginning and make up what the texture would be. I also had to trace the picture on the linoleum and then cut it out in the right pert. My favorite part about this whole project was printing it out. I liked mixing some of the colors together and making it look very cool.

pancake face

I thought that this project was fun a first. I liked smearing the pancakes out and I also likd croping the jaw face out. but twards the end I got really angry with this assignment because my computer was super slow. I also had a problem with the earasing part because my back ground was dark. But overall I thought that this was a very cool picture to make and I liked this assignment.

stencil project

My stencil did not turn out very good at first. The first time I started, I accidentally got the wrong type of paint and color and it got all wrinkly and dark in only some area of the final part. I had restarted because I was not happy with how it was staring to turn out. My second and last time I made turned out better. I used all of the right colors and everything. But then when I was done I thought that it would look better if I fixed one part on the stencil. I knew that that was a bad idea because it made part of the eyes all wrinkly too and colors overlapped. I learned that you should not always want more and more because that could lead to something that was worse than what you started with.

Contour Line Shoe

My drawings improved with contour lines because now I was able to draw more of the texture. At first I thought that it would be difficult because we  couldn't lift up the pencil, but it actually wasn't that bad. Also I think that drawing without lifting your pencil up helps with poportion because you are not drawing at different times and with different sizes each. One of the hardest parts to draw on the shoe was the stitching lines because those are basically dotted. Instead, I just drew darker and then ligther on the stitches tso hat it almost looked dotted. I think that the shape of my shoe was not the best but I did a good job of making the shoe look more 3D and using contour lines.

ipad Value project

Using the ipad was much more useful then using oil pastel. On the ipad, I could do the same amount of things like smudging and drawing different colors as I would on a real peice of paper. In most ways, the ipad was easier because there were more colors to choose from, you could undo whenever you wanted, the smudges seemed smoother, and your hands and paper would not get dirty. I accomplished being able to make art on a technology device and I think that it turnd out better on the screen then on my paper. Technology is important in art because it can make things easier sometimes and it can help because you can undo and not make a mess and worry about menning up.

Stich Skeleton

The skeleton that I drew had alot of the same types of bones as a human would have. The difference between the bone parts for a human and for Stich is that I have long bones for the ears, claws for the fingers, big eye and nose areas, and thinner bones because he has so much muscle to fit in. I thought that this project was fun because I could make the bone structure however I wanted because it was a cartoon character. Something that I might change next time is make the jaw line look more real, make a bone/bones for the tail, and draw darker. I am very suprised at how well I have done making a skeleton out of only my imagination, I just thought about what an alien and a dog's skeleton might look like and I also thought about what cool characteristics I could put in that most skeletons don't have.
